BHRT/HRT

What is Hormone Therapy?

Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy, or BHRT, is a medication that contains hormones. It is used when hormone levels are low in the body and create unwanted symptoms. Bio-Identical hormones are compounds that are chemically altered in the laboratory to look and behave exactly like our own human hormones.

Creating a Customized Treatment Plan:

The physician creates a treatment plan designed to restore the Patient’s health based on hormone testing results. A prescription for Bio-identical hormones is compounded according to the Patient’s specific needs. Treatment plans may vary to include the lowest dose of hormones required and adjusts the dosage until symptoms have subsided and your lab tests have stabilized.

Medical Follow-Up for Treatment:

Once you start treatment, be sure to keep your prescriber abreast of your symptoms and if you experience any adverse effects. It may be necessary to retest the hormone levels from time to time, as many situations in life can impact our hormone levels. Your practitioner will be able to increase or decrease your dosages to keep you feeling your best.

HRT/BHRT for WOMEN

Hormone replacement therapy can have incredible benefits for menopausal women using natural and healthy supplements derived from plant hormones that are biologically identical to those occurring naturally in the body. Working with your doctor, we can customize these hormones to your body’s unique needs to relieve menopausal symptoms such as:

  • Menopause
  • Moodiness
  • Hot Flashes
  • Decreased libido
  • Weight gain
  • Vaginal dryness
  • Painful sexual intercourse
  • Sleep disturbances
  • Night sweats

Mass-produced HRT formulations are helpful but limited. Every woman’s body and her hormonal composition are different and require a unique hormone balance. BHRT/HRT can be made in various strengths and dosage forms, including capsules, topical or vaginal creams, gels, suppositories, and sublingual troches.

HRT/BHRT For MEN

There is a misconception that hormone replacement therapy is strictly for women. Men could benefit from testosterone replacement therapy to combat common health issues men experience – issues many men dismiss as signs of aging.

Some symptoms include:

  • Decreased libido
  • Decreased muscle mass
  • Decreased strength
  • Decreased Stamina
  • Erectile Dysfunction
  • Osteoporosis
  • Heart Disease
  • Sleep Disorders
  • Depression and Anxiety

These are all potential symptoms of andropause, or male menopause, a condition marked by a decrease in testosterone levels or an increase in estrogen levels.

Over-the-counter/Off the shelf/As seen on TV, testosterone supplements offer limited relief. They are mass-produced, one-size-fits-all variety and don’t consider the user’s individual needs.
